REIKI HEALING

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. It is a hands on healing method which originated in Japan in the late 19th century by Dr Mikao Usui. It was bought to the Western world by Hawayo Takata. Reiki is neutral, non-religious and can be received by anyone who is willing to be healed.

Reiki healing is transferred to you by the therapist gently resting their hands on or above various parts of the body. The treatment is non-intrusive and you will remain fully clothed.

When we become physically, mentally and emotionally unbalanced our energy flow can become interrupted or blocked. Reiki can help to restore balance by promoting and enabling the body’s natural healing process.

Each treatment and experience is individual to you. During the energy healing you might experience hot, cold, tingling sensations or visual colours. You may also experience feeling relaxed or energised and you may express a range of emotions. Any of these experiences may occur during or after the treatment. Reiki can also be used to support and enhance conventional and other complementary therapies.

SEICHEM

Seichem (pronounced say-keem) is one of the healing arts practised in ancient Egypt and it was rediscovered in 1980 by Patrick Zeigler.

Seichem works in conjunction with Reiki and focuses within the aura which surrounds the body. It enables us to connect on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level and the energy can be used to heal and stimulate personal development and growth.

Reiki is one of the four elemental rays which make up Seichem – earth (Reiki), water (Sophi-el, air (Angelic light) and fire ((Sakara). There are various spellings of the word however the meaning remains the same ‘power’ in a spiritual sense.

Kathleen Milner brought the Seichem energy together with Reiki attunement procedures to develop the Tera-Mai healing system, incorporating new symbols that were revealed to her.

Reiki can help you to restore and re-balance the body spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally. It can leave you feeling lighter with a sense of wholeness and well-being. Reiki can be used to treat acute conditions such as headache, sore muscles, or cramps or chronic conditions such as cancer. It can also be used to balance emotions such as anger, fear, anxiety, depression and stress.

Reiki is not a diagnostic or prognosis tool and your Reiki practitioner will channel the healing energies to where it is needed most.
